My mom never pays me for grades. Heck, I don’t think she cares what grades I get as long as I don’t get detentions.

But she was a teacher for 10 years so… And I already get A’s.

I get paid $100 for each B, 250 for each B+, and 500 for each A-, anything above that gets me a blank check…

I don’t think anyone on CC gets paid for grades and the select few that do are probably too embarrassed to post (due to the overwhelming no’s).

However, I wouldn’t mind some cash every time I get an A or if I get a 2350+ (why stop at grades when you can include SATS?).

$20 an A per quarter and $20 an A for semester exams. hell yes.
It’s not why I get such good grades though

I wish I did! I so want that money!

dad pays me $20 for Cs, $50 for Bs, mom $100 for As

but i only had 2 Bs and 6 Cs this semester

Why would I get paid for doing what I’m supposed to do? I do what normal people do when they want money: work a job.

lol.

However, it would be hell if I got below an A.

Gifts work well with kids to keep them motivated but after elementary it just promoted greed and laziness. I know people that only get A’s so that their parents will reward them. Some even cheat in every class to get the grades to get the cash and gifts. See how that helps them on the SAT and in college. My parents rarely give me cash unless its needed for school and even then they still don’t want to fork it over. I get good grades so that I know I’m not getting lazy with my school work. If I got a really high SAT score my parents would probably put some money in my bank account lol(which I’m not allowed to touch)

We usually just go out to dinner if I do.

I know someone who’s parents made a deal with them that if they got over a 4.0 in middle school they would get 500$, over a 4.0 in high school is 5,000$, and over a 4.0 in college is 50,000$.
He’s pretty smart, but he’s also I spoiled brat.

I get dinner at a choice restaurant for good grades. <3
I mean it’s Texas Roadhouse normally but it’s still fun

^ Geez. That’s insane.

I don’t get paid for anything, and if I do, I get paid a miniscule amount. Whenever I get good grades, my parents either just say “great” or on a VERY rare occasion, buy me something nice to eat. They don’t get mad at me if I do badly but yeah.
I don’t get paid.
When I decided to make a deal with my parents to clean the whole house, I spent 6 hours wiping walls/floors/vacuuming/cleaning/dusting/etc and I got $6 for it LOL.

Trolololol, what?

Hasn’t happened since middle school. Now it’s more or less expected that I get good grades. Honestly I feel that people who are paid to get “good” grades are spoiled brats. Really smart people don’t get paid.

lol my parents don’t care. I cried when I got my first b - in gym, no less. My mom was like “geez, it doesn’t even matter!”
They care more about my twin brother, who got C’s or less this year. Seriously. Not a single grade in the four main content areas wasn’t more than a c.

Hah, I wish. I would have a small fortune by now.

LOL in 7th grade I got a D on my PE exam and my dad just laughed. xD

I’ve never gotten paid for good grades. Actually, I care about my grades much more than my parents xD.

I’m actually amazed that I got all A’s in gym this year - for the push up test, I couldn’t do a single one! I should have failed but my teacher was really nice/ :)

I never get paid for good grades. Instead, if I do really good one semester then my parents are usually less strict to let me do the stuff I want. Like go shopping for clothes and going to the movies. Other than that, I don’t get a dime. I really could care less though.

Lol, I get money taken away from bad grades
Personally, I don’t believe in getting money for good grades, though
