Do you go to class in pajamas?

I always hear stories about college students not really caring about their own - or other peoples - attire when going to a lecture or something like that. Some take it as far as going to class in their pajamas. Does this trend occur at UCLA? It's something Ive looked forward to but I understand many like to keep their appearances up to par, what with it being LA and all~

It’s not that hard to get dressed in the morning. Just do it. 20 minutes can make a huge difference in your appearance. If you want the opposite sex to pay attention to you, the least you can do is get out of those *ing pajamas and put some *ing clothes on.
Also, when people show up to class in their PJs, it’s safe to assume that they haven’t showered. Take a *ing shower people, c’mon.
Keep in mind that you have to walk about a mile to get to the main campus from the housing area. Do you want to walk a mile in your *ing PJs? Your god damn winnie-the-pooh slippers?
Put on some jeans, shoes, a *ing shirt, put your hair in a pony-tail, and you’re *ing done. You will actually look presentable. NO *ing pajamas. Brush your teeth, because someone might try to kiss you, however they definitely will not try to kiss you if you’re wearing *ing pajamas.

im a tshirt, shorts+flip flops kinda person but i seen people dress all kinds of ways, and there was 1 guy in my math and physics classes that always had pajamas on, like it would be 3pm in the afternoon and you see him with pjs lol

Sometimes…

Sort of- for early classes its definitely more common (obviously). The only time I’ve worn PJs to class (other than a few random times when I’ve woken up late) was during winter quarter of my freshmen year. I took a class that had lecture 9:30-10:45 Tuesdays and Thursdays and met in one of the dorm buildings. On Tuesdays that was my only class, so my routine was to wake up for breakfast, go to lecture in my PJs, and then go back to my room and sleep for a few more hours  If that class had actually met on campus though I don’t think that I would have worn my PJs as often- unless you have an 8 a.m. class it’s not all that common.

what’s the point of asking this stupid ****ing question if you already know the answer? if you really don’t care about what others think, you wouldn’t have posted this question in the first place

hahaha i usually wear pj’s to exams since i study in 'em

personally, i’d never wear pyjamas to class. i just feel i won’t feel “ready” and “awake” and basically in the mood to study! i actually like how some schools and b-schools (more so non-american ones) have formal uniforms! makes it all so much more professional and “oriented”; but then that’s just me!

@MadeInChina: haha! cool username! I’d probably fall asleep if i were to wear pyjamas to examinations!! but from what i’ve read around the forums… apparently you don’t… and apparently you do exceedingly well in the exams! (maybe i should try PJs to exams too!) haha! :)

haha interesting…didn’t know i talked about my exam results on CC :P. i’m a big enthusiast of simulating my study environment while taking the exam (pj’s, chew gum, and sometimes listen to music). joshi let us (or maybe he didn’t notice?) listen to our iPods during the ee1 tests and i did extremely well on them lol.

maybe you secretly had the textbook audiobook in your ipod lol jk jk but thats interesting, im one of those people that can’t study with music, if i listen to music it just blocks everything else from going into my head :(

if you have 8am midterms and finals at Broad, yeah, i guess you go in pajamas.
