Do you guys like your classes?

I'm gonna like my English class. She let us know it's not gonna be easy, but she's there for our support and we're gonna try to have as much fun in class as possible.

As for my linguistics class at CCSF, the teacher is incredibly boring. While knowledgeable, she just reads from handouts and does not engage the class at all. Can't believe I'll have to deal with it till May. :( It's maddening when an interesting subject can be ruined by someone who can't teach.

haahaa my English 1b prof is an old hippie…she is super spacy and says “far out” all the time. it is really funny. i accidentially missed my first day of stats! hope i still have a spot on tuesday.

2 of my friends go to CCSF…how do you like it?

Anyway, I think I am going to enjoy my semester. I think I will like my Intro to World Religions class, since I am interested in learning about other peoples faiths and beliefs and want to intellectually strengthen my own faith as a Christian…

and of course, I will enjoy my Design Fundamentals and Digital Photography classes, since they are related to my major in graphic design! I’ve never done photography before, so I can’t wait to try it!

Let’s keep ourselves busy so before we know it, April will be here for our acceptance (or sadly, rejection) letters  hopefully it will come faster than we thought

Well after changing my classes today again I now like my classes for this semester. What professor is it for linguistics?

at least you did not take batty-sylvan

my school hasnt started yet so i cant say

@ johnny. i have renee morel for linguistics. she seems very nice and accessible, but her teaching style blows.

My classes should be pretty awesome. My teachers seem to be cool and this is the first semester where I am practically done with all of that IGETC/GE crap…so that I can finally take classes that interest me & are related to my major. This semester I am taking; Human sexuality, Intro to Women’s Studies, Women in Literature and Race, Gender and class in the media. I am taking it easy this semester…but I have a feeling I will be writing a lot of papers… :)

The only class I’m not liking is history. It’s very “high school” if you know what I mean. Group work and presentations… ew.

no they’re so hard!I’m shocked.
I’m in 18.5 credits and I’m already dying! (even though one ofmy classes doesn’t start til february) and I work too. Woofrigginhoo :stuck_out_tongue: the things we do to get cc standing

19 units here and I work 20-30 hours a week. don’t have classes until the start of february though. I’ll see then. I did get priority registration though so I got all the “chill” professors, 7 of my units are in accounting with the woman I had for accounting last semester(she was great) so I’ll see.

I am feeling HELLA burned out. It’s like the first week for me. Maybe it’s the transferitis talking, but I dropped my stats class b/c I thought it was kind of dumb and a waste of my time; I’ll have to take upper division stats anyway. I’m fine with my profs but I’m always tired… I need an extra-fun summer vacation this year.

my spring semester doesn’t even start until monday and i’m already tired and annoyed by all my classes and professors that i didn’t meet yet

i hate calc 2

I agree! I really don’t like second semester Calculus! And it seems my computer science professor doesn’t really teach us anything… Why does a Psych major need these classes UCSD?! Lol

I’m taking Applied Calculus this semester and I used to LOATHE math (failed geometry, alg 2 and precal in middle/high school and had to retake them). Im taking this class to prove to myself that I can handle handle this crap.

I have no idea what my prof is saying in my 2nd semester calc class but i seem to do fine on the hw. lol I’m the self-learner type.

I am currently taking Child Psychology and I love it. Next semester will be a little different because I’ll have to wake up earlier for my classes. Hopefully that won’t prevent me from enjoying them.

only got 8 units this semester 3 of which is 8 weeks long gonna be an awfully free semester

Dropped that linguisics class. English 1A and US History is easy; I have cool teachers, and African History/Latin American History just requires a lot reading.
