I might. I’m one of only a few kids in my class taking 2 APs(the most school allows junior year). Off the top of my head, I can only think of one other kid, but I’m sure there are more. We both take AP World, but we differ on the other AP. The rest of my schedule is harder than his though.

Only difference is that I’m in Spanish II and two people in my class who have every other class the same (besides elective) have AP Spanish because they’re native speakers.

I know I have the most rigorous possible for sophomores at my school. Only one other person in my class has nearly the same schedule as me, but it’s really really uncommon to have this schedule.

AP U.S. History (only AP for sophomores–2 credits)
H. English
H. Chemistry
H. Precalculus w/ Trig
Theology
Latin II

The sophomore APUSH class is selective, and you must meet freshman year requirements in order to take it. Instead of taking the one-credit U.S. History 1 soph year and taking either the 1-credit APUSH or the 1-credit U.S. History 2 junior year, you take basically both in one year, a 2-credit APUSH course. There are about 15 total sophomores in the class this year.

Barely any sophomores take H. Precalc and the ones who do typically are doubled up w/ Geometry too. If they took Algebra 2 freshman year (most freshmen take Algebra 1) and double up soph year, then they will have both Geo and Precalc. I took Geometry online over the summer and took my school’s Geo final exam in August to test out.

All of the rest of the courses are the standard sophomore courses w/ all honors. We don’t have honors languages until level 3, although Latin is the most difficult language offered, and theology is required all 4 years w/ no honors.

Yeah, because I’m taking classes I’m not technically allowed to take until senior year because I tested out of trig, physics, and calculus. I’m also taking three online classes.

Career Search
Financial Literacy
World Geography
Spanish II
Chemistry II
English III Honors
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP English Literature
AP Statistics
AP US History
AP US Government

I think I have the most rigorous schedule ever taken in the past decade or so. My guidance counselor practically had an aneurysm when she heard I was considering this.

Orchestra (0 period)
AP French
AP Chemistry
AP US Government
AP English Literature
AP Computer Science
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics B (Online)
AP Biology (Online)

I go through some of these schedules and realise the above-average (way above average) students in the U.S. really do have rigorous and demanding schedules compared to overseas. The curriculum/education rigor isn’t as emphasized I guess; I’m not sure. Unless you’re a genius and have a lot of time on your hands, this schedule is probably as rigorous as it gets at a doddse school for the average above-average student that’s not doing APs just to get weighted grades (there are quite a few that do that over here). Usually taking 4 AP classes is as rigorous as it gets over here, plus a high-level language course, added with some required class that might as well be a remedial and easy class.

Mine as an example:

AP Calc AB
AP Physics B
AP Studio Art Drawing
AP US Gov
Career Practicum (2 periods- I know this isn’t a rigorous class, much less a class; however, I can’t bombard myself with so much work because of demanding classes)
English 12 :D

In addition, because my new school for next year doesn’t offer a lot of ap classes, I’m planning to self-study for AP Psych and European History.

My school has some of the least motivated students, so yes.
The only class that fellow sophomores can possibly be sharing with me is AP World History. Everything else I’m taking is much more advanced, because for some reason people want to take PE more than once and Drivers Ed. or something.

Probably not the most rigorous schedule at my school but close.

AP Chemistry
AP Physics C
AP US History
AP Macro/Micro Economics
Multi-variable calculus/Linear Algebra (Post AP)
Artificial Intelligence (Post AP)
DNA Science I & II (Post AP)
Honors English 11 (AP English is not allowed until Senior year)

I definitely have the most rigorous schedule in my grade (junior) because I’m the only kid self-studying 3 APs. One senior is taking 3 APs, but two of hers are difficult and all of mine are easy. However, she has the advantage of actually sitting in the class. As such, I’d say we’re pretty tied, although my schedule might be worse.
I don’t think this counts for anything though; every grade consists of about 20 kids in my tiny school of 78 students. :)

mine is the 3rd most rigorous in my grade(junior)

ap chemistry
ap physics c
multivariable calculus honors
ap language and composition
ap computer science
regular US history 2
french 3
gym/health(required)

the hardest schedule for a junior ever taken in my school was the following

multivariable calculus honors
ap physics c
ap chemistry
ap statistics
ap french
gym/health
ap language and composition
ap computer science
study hall(required if youre taking 2 science classes)

by the way he skipped history in the summer

For next year mine and a friend’s are probably tied for number one:

Mine
PreCalc HN
English 11 HN
AP US History
AP Environmental Science
AP Economics
AP Human Geography
AP Statistics
AP Comparative Govt (self study)

My friend’s:
English 11 HN
AP US History
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C (with no prior physics knowledge!)
AP Economics
AP Chem
Japanese 3

AP Human Geography
AP Computer Science (Online)
Pre-IB English
Pre-IB Algebra II
Pre-IB Biology
Pre-IB US History
Pre-IB Inquiry Skills
Pre-IB Spanish II

I think it’s the most rigorous possible

Edit: Well, actually, I’ve completed AP Computer Science already and I’m basically awaiting the AP Exam, so perhaps I could have more rigor if I were to squeeze in another course that’s honors or something.

Undoubtedly. Class of 2017 should be renamed “Class of slackers” at my HS (okay, that’s a little harsh…).

This year (freshman):
AP Macroeconomics (Semester)
PreCalculus Honors
English I Honors
Chemistry Honors
Biology Honors
Latin I Honors
Concert Band
World History Honors
Gym (Semester)

And next year (sophomore):
AP Calculus BC
AP US History
AP Chemistry
AP Physics 1
AP Music Theory (Semester)
AP Human Geography (Semester)
AP Comparative Gov (Semester; Online)
English II Honors
Latin II Honors

“DIFFICULT” at my school is basically taking AP US History sophomore year. Seriously, that’s how (or so I’ve been told) GC’s determine the “rigor” of your schedule. Just that one class. SIGH.

Some kids who I don’t know got the class rank of 1 and 2. A bunch of people, maybe 50 or more, are tied for 3rd. I’m part of that tie. But I think I should get extra points since I’m in a more advanced math class. There’s a lot of people at my school, and about 960 in my class. This makes it a bit harder since there’s more competition.

In terms of number of AP/IB classes (7), yes, but some kids are taking more rigorous IB classes than me (Chemistry instead of Psychology; French instead of Spanish), so the answer is no.
