Hello,
I am an international student from Turkey. As you know it is really hard to get any financial aid or scholarships from colleges as an international student. My family's financial situation is not enough to pay for college in The USA. I got very special scholarship from student exchange organization and had a chance to become an exchange student in the USA for my sophomore year. So I was wondering if I can find any organization that can give me full or nearly full scholarship or financial aid because my family is really not able to afford it. Are there any requirements or something they especially look for when they are giving financial aid or scholarships?
Thank you in advance!

The largest source of international aid is from colleges themselves. Apply to colleges that offer financial aid to internationals, basically.

Your post is unclear. Are you asking about a way to fund the exchange year or regular attendance at a school in the US?

It isn’t all that easy for U.S citizens to get full ride scholarships. They are out there…but not all that plentiful.

It is even harder for international students as some colleges do not give aid to international students…or give limited aid. This applies to both merit and need based awards.

You need to look for a college that guarantees awards for international students with your stats.

Are you looking to be a transfer student to a U.S. College? If so, aid will be even more difficult to come by.

There aren’t organizations that give that level of aid. You would have to find that sponsor in your own country. I have heard of organizations that help a little, like if there was a Turkish American org that has a small awards, I have heard this for other nationalities. So the easiest way is to get money from the colleges. That is your best chance, so focus on the colleges where you would be a top student they would like to attract.
