^ .

It’s better than a dictatorship, that’s for sure.

No, Democracy is the dictatorship of the majority. Although when most people say democracy they mean what the US political system is/was, which is not a Democracy (ancient Athens was a democracy). What the US has is a Federal Republic, which I DO like.

I wouldn’t know, I’ve never actually lived in one.

No, we are not a republic or direct-democracy. We are like a fusion of the two, a repucracy.

aye comrade

I actually abhor the concept of democracy… ughggghghghg. I am an elitist pig, but still.

I’ve never heard of that word before. Did you make it up?

noob…it’s called “democratic republic” for a reason.

I prefer fascism. More friendly.

Meritocracy.

LOL sorry for those that believed reprocracy was a word, yes I did make it up

socialism ftw.

so imo, there is no ideal system of government,
and the government that’s best for a society
depends on the people living in it.
for instance democracy would probably be a good system of government
if a lot of people were politically active
and there weren’t too many vocal minorities.
but say, if 99% of people were one religion,
maybe that society would be better suited for a theocracy.
or for societies with stupid apathetic people like us,
maybe it’s good to do what we do now
and elect smart people to handle stuff for us.

Well when registering to vote, I plan to register as a Independent. I certainly wouldn’t register as a Republican, sometimes I find my family too conservative at times, and makes me more Democratic than Republican all the time.

Epistemocracy.

It’s a real word.

The masses aren’t smart enough to make good enough decisions and know the better person to vote for.

And the people whom the people are voting for are corrupt and greedy.

Fail cycle is fail.

+1

Independents FTW.
