Do you read the whole CR passage?

I ALWAYS read the passage and I have gotten 3 800s, so I guess it at least works for me.

My personal method is to spend as much time as is necessary reading the passages to make sure I understand them. Then I go through the questions as quickly as possible, which is easy because I read through the passage thoroughly. I got a 720. I'll be taking the SAT for the last time in December, we'll see if I do any better.

Always read the whole passage. Worked for me, 800, but, i kept on going back to check...again...and again...and again...so in essence i was really reading it...three or more times?

Do you just read the passage or read it with some note taking along the way?

Wow, it's amazing how many people read the whole passage. I went to a Critical Reading forum once and almost EVERYONE said they only read a few sentences and go straight to the questions. So I'm pretty surprised- I'm glad I'm not the only one who reads the whole passage.

ApWorld, basically if you take a lot of collegeboard CR tests, you can predict the type of questions they will ask you about a passage.

I find myself noticing certain facts while I read passages so I circle a few things and lo and behold! the questions later ask about them!
