Hehe, I'm only a sophomore (male) at my school, but I have really stopped caring about half of the people there.

Basically, every day I go to that place looking like *%#$#4. Simply, because I don't want to take the time to look good. So I wear flip flops all the time and throw on whatever I can. Mostly, the seniors are the ones that do this just trying to get by, cause there over it. Lol, I could care less hat I looked like. I'll save my good dress for Saturday night.

No need to "dress up" for school. T-shirt, jeans, flip flops/sneakers everyday, year round, maybe a hoodie or light jacket. I've always been this way though, school had nothing to do with it. I like everything really neat, clean, and simple.

I know a lot of girls that wear heels to school, yet have sneakers in their backpacks for later. Its not a fashion show and you shouldn't be uncomfortable at school just to look good.

I dress decent, I throw on a dress in the spring and summer but I only this because I usually meet with people in the theater business straight after school and I feel embarrassed if I look like a complete slob. When crunch time (finals, shows and other big things) come around I look like I just woke up.

Quote: 'ummm...guys generally dont take much time to "look good". more of a girl thing, unless you are really metro or something.'

You don't have to "dress up" to not look like a scrub. I mean even a t shirt and jeans looks better than what I go to school. "Looking good" isn't what I meant, even putting effort into wearing clothes, lol.

We have to wear pants out our school. A lot of the time the people who scrub it are the ones who wear the nike pants that swish around, and wear a hoody with a huge coffee stain on it, lol. And they say South Florida is beautiful? Lol

I am highly organized with my dressing style. I maintain four piles: the shirt pile, the pants pile, underwear pile, and the socks pile...lol. In the morning I choose one from each pile. =D

we have a dress code, which is the bane of my life. We're not allowed jeans, flip flops, t-shirts, etc. It's a typical British school where the juniors and seniors have a dress code with everyone else in uniform. I used to put so much thought into what I wore every day, right down to my earrings, but that fizzled out after the second week of school. I want my uniform back, it makes life easier. :P

um...It amazes me how badly I can misunderstand what people say (like the title of this thread, for example). lol
anyway, for guys, "dressing up" shouldn't be an issue. Just as long as you smell okay...

Lmao.
No guys at my school "Dress up" but they wear a polo and jeans most 90% of the guys do. Sometimes we have kids come on pajamas. It's cool. Some people ask why I don't ever dress up decently, because I wore a white polo like one day out of the whole year. I say because when you get up at 6:50 and live 10 mins away and school starts at 715 it's kinda hard to care. Lol

I'm a girl.. and
during the winter.. i don't realy care and wear whatever. usually "dressy" sweats and some shirt with a northface over it or a cute jacket. i almost never have makeup on during the winter...

in the warmer months i wear like sundresses and cute skirts and whatnot.

i shower at night so in the morning it's like 20 minutes to brush my teeth, wash my hair, brush my hair and throw on clothes...

I'm a girl who cares about her appearance. I believe that clothes and jewelry, etc, are just another way to express myself, and I take pride in the way I dress.

And I know a TON of guys who care about the way they look. Saying it's weird for guys to care about how they present themselves is just wrong.
