Well, that's how it goes! I won't lie and say that helping others is my sole interest in life -- the money is a factor as well. It seems that many doctors are opening their own practices. Any advice? MD/MBA programs? Do I even need an MBA?

Some business background would definitely help but I doubt its necessary. I know many doctors with their own practice clinics and they don't have any MBA's. Depends on the scale of it. If it's just you and a few nurses and a receptionist to restock the coffeepot and take calls, then just good money management skills should do. If you want your own hospital chain on the other hand, then I might go for an MBA lol.
