Do you think a 4 looks worse than a 5, like a lot worse?

I want some opinions. Would a 4 look bad on an applicant's packet?

Omg, nooo, stop worrying so much.

hyperventilates

Haha, it’s the first time I took so many AP tests at once, so I don’t really know how scores compare.

Nope. Most of my friends actually got 2-3.

Furthermore, 4 is accepted at a lot of universities! Now for HYPSM, they don’t look at 4s, but it doesn’t mean they’ll break your application. Don’t worry :)

Many HYPSM admits have made 4’s before. Moreover, they DO accept 4’s, so I dunno where you’re getting that.

OP, please. You’re panicking over something that doesn’t even matter that much (in the long run).

This is true. Now relax. A 4 is still a passing grade, and a pretty damn good one at that.

Well Harvard doesn’t accept anything other than a 5.
[Advanced Standing: Course Equivalencies](http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~advising/advanced/equivs.html)

But my mistake for the other YPSM. They do accept 4 and some actually accept 3s for difficult subjects such as threes.

Furthermore, I don’t think these AP scores make THAT big of a difference on an application unless you got a 95 in the class and ended up with a 1 or a 2. That might raise some eyebrows.

Again, like most people said. Relax. My friends would kill for a 4 and kill you for worrying about such a thing.

Okay, thanks guys!

I feel silly now. Haha, my neuroticism.

What are HYPSM schools?

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
MIT

Welcome to CC  do the UCs (Berkeley) accept 4s?

A 4 is a good score. Congratulations.

A 4 is nearly tantamount to a 5.

hobbithill, based off this link [Advanced Placement Examinations](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/faq/ap.html) , They seem to accept 3’s as well. So really the only thing anyone should worry about is whether or not they got a 1/2.
