<p>I went to my junior prom with a friend (male) last year. We both had a lot of fun and took a lot of pressure off of the whole night because we knew we just wanted to have fun together.</p>
<p>I've been to a few dances with just a few friends and it's usually not very fun. I get tired of them, then I have to get away and find a guy to dance with and it's just boring in general. I went with a guy friend once to whom I am mildly attracted and v.v. and that was a lot more fun. Also, I was hanging out with his friends, so that was all "new and different."
You still have months to plan. So don't give up hope of going the way you really want to so quickly.</p>
