I'm not even sort of qualified to chance you, but I can help you figure out your GPA on a four-point scale.

98.6/100 = x/4
lol~3.944

Oh, well thank you! :D

Give it your best shot and don't fret about the SAT's. Try to get an additional letter of rec from the Natural History internship.

My child had similar SAT scores when superscored, which I believe Chicago does. She actually had a slightly lower GPA and got in regular decision. I would try to show some passion with extracurriculars as that is something Chicago looks for. Build up one or two of your favorite ec's and show how your passion can contribute to life at chicago. That and your essays will make the difference, along with some really good recs.

wait. . . I thought a 4.0 GPA = 95 or above on the 100 scale. x9521's scale would mean that all these 4.0's on CC have perfect 100 averages, no?

I assumed that 4.0 was equivalent to 100%.
If her percentage lied within certain boundaries like you suggest, then her GPA would reflect that. I think the counselor's form will specify the boundaries (if applicable) for their certain percentages (ie: 94-100% = A, 90-93% = A-, etc.).
If everyone who fell within the 94-100 boundary were given the same GPA, then everyone would be tied with rankings. I simply set up proportions. If this was incorrect, I'd appreciate an answer as well (because I'm confused too, then!).

We can thank Princeton Review's GPA converter for that. That's where I first saw it.
So confusing!!! I have a hard time with chances threads because of this- I'm not sure how I(100 pt scale) actually compare
