Do you think I have a chance? or is this too far fetch..

Well to start off, I live in VA and will be a senior this fall at my highschool. I visited the campus earlier and fell in love with it, and its practically my dream school at this point. I have a gpa of 3.67 and have taken all honors classes throughout my highschool years. For junior year I took 3 AP courses (AP Eng, AP Hist. and AP Environmental) and for this fall I am taking AP Eng/Lit, AP Gov. and AP Calc BC. I always take the hardest classes available. My gpa isnt that great but I have some good EC's in my opnion, I have been a leader for DECA for three years so far and will be the President this year; I am in a number of honor societies, NHS (service chairperson), NSHS, NEHS (historian). I also part take in many other EC's such as Model UN, Key Club, Varisty Math, ect. BUT all together, my gpa sucks and so do my SAT scores ( I did horrible, I got a 1560 :-(, so yea at this point I just need to pray...and to top it all off, I go to a new HS and were the first to grad, SO UVa has never heard of us....

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST...kinda new at this stuff :-)

*All feedback is appreciated...be brutally honest if you need to

if u really wanna make it, study ur SATs for the rest of the summer, retake it in oct, apply early, thats what im doing right now cuz my scores r kinda low for the university too 570 R, 720M, 660W (reading hurts a lot :( )

I don't think applying early means squat.
They still have some standards.

tennisisfun1234 - my friend is in-state and has higher stats then you, and got waitlisted for early

swtchk07 - Your GPA is too low even for in-state, but I guess it would depend on the applicant poool at your school. Our GPA requirement was a 3.85 or higher. Also, your SAT is horrible. (is that all three?)

how do u get waitlisted for early, do u mean deffered?

If that's 1560 on the new scale you will really need to study and retake the SATs again in the fall. Typically applicants will have 2000+. Your GPA will also need to place you within the top 10% of your class along with an improved SAT score.

Yes, Deferred -.-;

thanks for the feedback...ohh I better study :-(
