<p>ok, I am a New Jersey native and I want to transfer from the University of Delaware because tuition is getting out of hand. I spent 1 year at UD came out with a 2.5, I worked, I was part of a psychology research team, and participated in many clubs and a leader of one. I've had some family problems that attribute to the less than stellar gpa. Do you think Rutgers will take this into consideration?? I'm really worried because I don't want to stay at UD and put myself in massive amounts of debt. Is Rutgers easier on New Jersey natives? please help!!</p>
<p>More and more strong students are choosing to stay in-state because of the exploding tuition rates. All of these state flagships are getting more and more competitive. It is worth a shot. Best of luck.</p>
<p>give it a shot, UD is a better school academically in my opinion so they should see that you think there a good school.</p>
