I finished one of the math sections of the March SAT five minutes early and decided to review my answers. When my proctor said that time was up, I continued to stare at one of the problems. My hands were in my lap and there were pencils in both of my hands. My proctor pointed at me and told me to stop. I didn't change any of my answers because I was sure that I'd gotten every problem correct.
Do you think my proctor reported me for cheating?

She was an absolutely horrible proctor! I sat right in front of her and she began tapping her foot during the test. She also began reading a book and turned ever page extremely loudly!

I made some excessive noise (dropped my pencil, moved in my seat loudly) but other test takers also accidentally made noise. Maybe she’s just an angry women :P

Chances are, no it won’t. She likely would have at least given you a warning if they were going to report you. Someone in my group was holding their pencil after time was up, but the guy just said to put it down. I doubt anything will come of it. My advice is to not worry. You will only know once scores come out and there is nothing you can do until then, so instead of giving yourself a headache for the next 18 days just have a nonchalant attitude toward it.

DAMN! She tapped her foot, AND flipped the pages in her book loudly?! She must be out to get you.

On a serious note, don’t be so paranoid.

I love my room and proctor. She was chill. The desks in the room was super long!! So I didn’t have to overlap my answer sheet and the test booklet. I was also next to the window with nice natural light :).

My proctor gave us a story of his life for half of our break time, on each break. Then he made me throw away the rest of my apply because I didn’t have enough time to finish it because he ran his mouth for so long.

My proctor told me to put my calculator at a lower angel twice! It’s hard to type into it though because I have an TI-nspire and the number keys are located midway on the calculator’s body so I have to hold it to type things in and see the screen. Nobody should have been able to see it though as my body blocked it.

I doubt that she did anything about it though as she seemed cool and did not even check our ID cards when we came back into the room.

Oh, also, mine swiped my hand off of my paper during section 8 and then looked at my paper and said oh, sorry.

my proctor was strict… she kept staring at us, and then would walk through the room, stand up behind your chair and look over your shoulder at your paper to make sure you were on the right section. I really don’t like people looking over my shoulder…

I agree with you future. I just can’t think when that happens and I freeze up. Then it also makes you look more suspicious.

Lol I usually go back after time is up to clean up my answer sheet because I press on it hard enough that the graphite transfers to other pages. The proctor had no problems with me and I didn’t get reported.

not to call out any names, but this kid snuck in ATLEAST 1-3 answers during the test collection process… crazy

the proctor didnt even care maybe

Gah I’m still annoyed as hell. There was a thunderstorm while we took the test, a girl wouldn’t stop sneezing, and our proctor kept on calling each section 20 seconds before it was actually over.

.That really does suck. That is kind of like the baby on an airplane type thing. If you get one person that is sick (ie baby) who kept sneezing (making annoying noises) it really gets annoying. Whenever I am on a plane with a baby who just won’t stop crying I just want to activate the seat eject feature to remove the baby and family from the plane. There are few sounds more annoying than a crying baby. Though, I don’t know exactly how exactly I got on the topic of talking about babies.
