Okay, let's all be realistic and honest. What do you think about your own chances? Yes or no, elaborate a little if you'd like.

I forsee a big, fat, red REJECTION somewhere in the near future.

Okay, let's all be realistic and honest. What do you think about your own chances? Yes or no, elaborate a little if you'd like.

I forsee a big, fat, red REJECTION somewhere in the near future.

I don't think I'm getting in either. I have a really low GPA (3.63) and mediocre SAT's (2180, 1450). I applied to CALS (Biological Engineering). Oh man, tomorrow is approaching really fast.

I wouldn't call that a mediocre score. It's in the range of what Cornell wants. You GPA on the other hand, not so much.

Then again, we can't just dismiss acceptance altogether. College admissions can be so arbitrary; we'll never know for sure until TOMORROW!

I'm gonna say deferral/rejection just to be negative...and thus not disappointed tomorrow.

yea deferral for me too.

deferral/reject , 4.3 GPA, 2060 SAT, not so hot. C+ in ap lit, doesn't look good

I think deferral. My math SAT score is a 690 (not quite in Cornell's 50%, but overall 2200 = eh), and I'm applying as a junior.

But I have to steel myself for rejection.

i think ill get referred at the best, but im expecting a rejection
honestly, ill be happy with a referral bc to me, that means "you are good enough for us to waste more time looking at ur app"

i don't know how you plan on getting reffered....but i do know i will probably be deferred

deffered i'd say...good gpa/sat's, but nothing off the roof. EC's and crap come together nice, but i donno if it will do it.
Plus, getting accepted into Cornell ED would just seem too easy to be true...lol. I feel like its too easy to be possible to apply to just one school and have the whole process end so nicely. nah...i've heard too many horror stories. I'll probably get deffered then request recs like a madman friday and do my other apps in a hurry and get rejected from a safety...lol.

i think i'll get deferred... my sat math is a 670 which is kinda low... and i dont think my interview went all that well... i'm really nervous though

haha you guys are all so modest.. but I m not saying that's not a good thing. If you are applying to Cornell, there's gotta be something that could possibly pull you in. Since we all have little idea how the admission officers would weigh the "IN factors" and "out factors", I suggest we just stop thinking about it and click the tab with a casual heart. The "click" is just a step in finding out our future, as we all do every seconds of our life. If you are in, you are already in. So just click it :). All the best for tomorrow.

I think I'll get in, but it wouldn't be anywhere near a surprise if I got rejected. I think I'll get in because I know one of my rec's was absolutely amazing (I was only allowed to read one) and for some reason, my high school usually sends a couple kids to Cornell every year and of the applicants my school has sent before, I'm certainly not the weakest link. If I get rejected though, it'll be very much due to my SATs.

If I get rejected, I'll know why (570 math SAT).

I'm hopinng my GPA, essays, teacher recs, and extracurriculars outweigh it, somehow..

Just because we're applying doesn't mean we're all qualified prospects. It's a reach for me and by far the best school I applied to, unless you consider the University of Michigan somewhere within its caliber.

I know someone who got their rejection letter two days ago. Isn't that a little odd?? And he wasn't lying either.

Ouch. I guess they REALLY didn't want him.
