I'm currently a freshman at community colllege. My first semester I dropped intermediate algebra because i didn't really understand it and had a C although on midterms i got a B. I also dropped busienss law because it won't transfer to the university i want to transfer too. My other 2 courses english comp and a remedial english reading course I recieved 2 A's... over the summer im taking intermediate algebra over again and psychology. THe dropped courses will in no way effect my GPA they will just appear on transcript with W's... I want to transfer to A. University of Pittsburgh or B. DePaul or C. Fordham.... for finance... do you think I will still be able to do this if i keep my GPA up?

bump…

You should make an appointment with the Transfer Counselor at your CC. Bring in copies of your grades, a plan for the rest of your program there, and any information that you have about your target university/ies. The Transfer Counselor will be able to give you some advice about the best steps to take.

Good luck!

Happymom is right. Why were you taking a class that doesn’t transfer to your intended school? This is a great time to review your classes for next semester and make sure that you are on track.
