Or do you just cram the month before the test? I don't feel like I'm reading my books enough. Will they help me in the actual class, or is it just good review material?

How hard is it to get a 5 on the AP Chemistry and AP European History exams?

It’s best to review while you’re going through the material so you don’t have to cram when May comes. For Euro, I’m just using PR to supplement what we do in class so hopefully I’ll get at least a 4.

I’m not a history student but I find history fun so I’m taking the different histories next year and getting prep books for all of them.

On the other hand, I don’t think I will be getting prep books for physics and chemistry because I have a lot of textbooks e.g. Feynman’s Lectures, University Physics, Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems, Atkin’s Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry by Wothers. I’m self-studying all my APs so prep books may come in handy.

I’ll definitely get a prep book for Chinese though.

For some tests, I trusted the class and didn’t study at all. For some tests, I crammed a few weeks in advance. For some tests, I crammed the night before without taking the class.
