And does it bother you if other people don't, even when they observe that you aren't?

My freaking maid service always walks into my house with their damn shoes on, and I swear that I've just about had it. Seriously, they're here to clean and I bet they drag in more dirt than they get rid of. They're lazy as hell and disgust me with their lack of hygiene.

And one of them brings along their fat sixth grader, as if this were some sort of baby-sitting service. She waltzed into my room, with dirt visibly flying off of her shoes. I bet she went into a public restroom in the last 24 hours. I didn't say anything, but GTFO my room if you're not doing anything. Then she went downstairs, sat on our clean couch in her flea-infested clothing and tried to eat our expensive chocolate.

UHG. I keep my room and house clean, and these people don't even make the slightest effort to be polite and take off their shoes! I finally put up a sign on my door that tells them not to wear shoes in my room, but I kind of doubt that they'll adhere to it.

Sometimes, I can be a very mean person online. But I'm one of the most timid people around in real life, so of course I'll never TELL them not to wear shoes. Also, I don't want to look like a D-Bag in real life; I really don't care if I look like one here.

we dont wear shoes inside my house, and we always politely remind people to take their shoes off (or offer ‘guest slippers’) if they dont. usually if its oldf riends they know that we dont wear shoes, so they dont. if its a new friend though, usually we leavea bunch of shoes next to the door to ‘give a hint’ to TAKE THOSE SHOES OFF!!

I hate cleaning up after people who wear shoes in the house, especially if it was just raining outside. I hate it even more when they go into the carpeted area and get it all dirty!

TCBH, doesn’t that get your house all dirty?

I don’t know if it’s just a Michigan thing, but I literally know NO ONE who wears shoes in a house. It is just second nature to us to remove them immediately once inside. People don’t even think about it.

I say flea-infested because we had a flea problem one time, and we don’t have any pets. It surely wasn’t from any of us…

I don’t like to look down on people for their appearance, but it’s incredibly hard not to in this case. It looks like she doesn’t even make an effort to look decent. Her clothes have food stains on them, and I don’t want to get near her. I just really don’t want her in my house since she’s not doing anything.

She could be a great kid and all, but… I just don’t like dirty people in my house. ):

You DO realize that you can pick up fleas from anywhere? A friend at school could have given them to you. They don’t just live on animals, obviously.

^
Yeah, I know that. Maybe it was from my sister.

I’m just saying that I strongly suspect it was from them. They do go from house to house and have lower hygienic standards. It’s not some wild accusation.

^ Yes I did and then I realized that it wasn’t worth it to reply to you.

What I said was something along the lines of “Actually, it is since you have no idea where it came from. It could just as easily have come from members of your family as it could of from any of the people who work for you.”

Btw, no one forces you to have a maid. If you don’t think they’re doing a good job, it is very easy to get rid of them and do the cleaning yourself.
