Dobie: Studio vs Side Suite

<p>I can't decide. </p>

<p>Studio: Its one bedroom with 2 beds (me and a roommate). The toilet and tub is in the bathroom section(me and a roommate share a bathroom), but the sink is IN the bedroom. So that would mean when me or my roommate use the toilet, we would have to come out of the bathroom and wash our hands in the sink. Disgusting, but its something to think about. The good thing about this dorm is that its only 1 roommate I have to deal with. If he's understanding, then it'll be a good year. If not, only 1 person to clash with. </p>

<p>Side Suite: Its a bedroom on the left, a living room in the middle, and another bedroom on the right. So each bedroom has 2 people and their own bathrooms (WITH the sink in the bathroom). Then the 4 people share the living room. The bedroom doors are locked, so the 2 people from the other bedroom can't get into your bedroom through the living room unless they have your bedroom key. Only you and your roommate get your bedroom keys. The problem with this is, I'll have to deal with 3 people now instead of 1. I'll also have to deal with those 3 other roommates wanting control over the living room instead of actually "sharing" it. I'm okay with parties, but I rather not have it near my bedroom since thats where I do most of my studying. So them having too many parties or drugs in the living room is something else I would have to deal with. The noise will also probably be a factor. I wanted the living room because I think it'll be cool to know 3 other people and also, if I have a friend coming from Houston once throughout the semester or something, they can crash on the couch for a day or two.</p>

<p>I'm a laid back person, but I can't stand disrespectful or people who don't take into consideration their roommate's situation. For example, if my roommate had to study, I would be quiet. Its mutual respect. Same goes when it comes to drinking/using other people's stuff. If you didn't buy it, don't use it. </p>

<p>Which one should I go with? Which one would you all go with?</p>

<p>Lol, lack of help on this one but I decided to go with the studio. They sold out of the studio yesterday though. Even though I sent in my lease, they gave my spot away since I didn’t pay confirmation fee yet. Anyways, I’m getting a discount on a bigger room :).</p>

<p>I lived at Dobie for 2 years. If you are very rarely in your room (like I was), definitely go with the studio. For all other scenarios, go for the suite.</p>

<p>I just had that same problem. I went with the studio. Less people to conflict with. It would suck if you got 4 crappy people to share a space with. :confused: At least with studio you will only have 1 person to deal with.</p>
