documents to bring

I've been going through all my WP stuff and cannot find where it says what to bring (social security card, etc...). I know to bring it, but want to see it in black and white...can anyone tell me what material states what to bring?

Mom,

Page 5 of the booklet titled Instructions for candidates offered admission lower right hand column. look under personal payroll identification and information. I think this is what your looking for. Most of the info is in this booklet. Except on the front page of the immunization form is where it tells you to bring copies of that form.

T

I sent up a copy of everything feasible (i.e. not x-rays), just to be on the safe side. I focused on the written doctors and dentist reports, direct deposit form, and anything else that I thought may be a problem if she suddenly would need it and didn't have it. I put everything in an accordion-style folder that she can add any other official papers to in the coming years. I also included some envelopes, stationary and stamps.

Thanks! The list serve is discussing bring the birth certificate, but I don't see where it says that...we sent that in months ago...trying to determine if we need to bring another one.

I sent one with my daughter - just in case. That was one of the documents that I put in her folder.

If your son doesn't have a passport, now would be a good time to apply for one. He'll need a certified birth certificate to apply. He won't need the passport for awhile, but he'll also not have much time to get one once he starts WP, and trips out of the country could come up without much notice. My daughter took hers back with her at Thanksgiving and keeps it in her lockbox.

Two of my three boys got passports (and used them) before I did...so he's good to go on that one! They are fortunate to have seen much more of the world than I have! Next stop, Highland Falls...just hoping we run into Paulie, Mikey, and the gang!

You don't HAVE to take any copies of documents with you to R-Day, but it is suggested, just in case something was misplaced and is requested. It is also suggested to leave a copy in a file at home, also just in case. Better to have copies available than to have to scrounge for documents or signatures when under pressure.

I looked at it as one less thing for my daughter (and me) to worry about heading into R-Day.
