Does a good SAT Math II score offset a "low" SAT Math score?

Here's the info: I've got an 800 on Math II but a 720 on the SAT Math (soooooooo low), and a lot of people I know are telling me to take it again so that I have a CR+M score over 1500 (it's 1480 right now). The thing is that my score, in my opinion, is fine as it is, especially since my Math II score would better gauge my performance in math, but I have people telling me that it looks bad and that I retake the SAT (which I took in January) so that I can get 750+. I don't know, I think my Math II score would kind of balance the SAT Math score, and I'm not going to pay for it if it really doesn't make a major difference (which I doubt it will). The only thing is that some schools have a 1500+ CR+M threshold for merit scholarships like UM, but I'm mostly likely not going to apply to those schools so it's fine for me.

Am I right, would retaking the SAT just to boost my math score be pointless, since I already have a good Math II score?

How many times have you taken the SAT test?

There’s no guarantee that your scores will improve the next run.
In fact, it might even decrease.
A CR score of 760 is really good and 720 in math is decent.
It’s true that 1500+ is in the “competitive” zone, but in my opinion, 1480 is good enough.
And who knows, the next available test might be harder.

No. Take the SAT again. They superscore.
