Does adding a 2nd major in economics lower 2+2 admission chances?

I'm currently heading into my sophomore year at Columbia and my intended major is Film Studies. I also wanted to add a double major "Creative Writing" to go with it, and then apply to Harvard's 2+2 MBA program. I'm very interested in this combo and I think the two together would also give me the 'non-MBA' profile the program seems to want to attract.

However, considering that I'm going to have about 125,000$ in student debts after my undergrad, I feel that I should maybe add a more ''productive'' major, and go for a Film Studies+Economics combo instead. This would hopefully give me some good job opportunities after completing the undergraduate.

But I'm wondering if it also decreases my likelihood of being admitted into the 2+2 since it puts me with all the econ majors hoping to get into Harvard's MBA.

Thoughts? Advice? Opinions?

You need to make choices that will help help you advance your career regardless of the 2+2.

As for MBA admissions, they aren't just judging an applicant as "an econ guy" because he majored in Econ. They are looking at the whole package. Given your film stuides major, you should be able to "spin" your background in the direction you want. Doing so would prevent you from the being labeled as the "econ guy." Instead, you would be the "film studies guy with quant skills." Coming from a non-traditional background, your vision is of utmost importance (ie, why film studies, why an MBA, what are your plans upon graduation and beyond).
