Does any got into UCSD for Econ Major with GPA around 3.5 this year?

<p>I am planing to apply for UCSD this year. I know that is harder to get into UCSD than before especially for Econ major, but I am still want to try. What if I have GPA around 3.55 by the end of Fall 2011? It that possible to get into Econ major? Does anyone got in this year?</p>

<p>I did and my gpa is 3.4x. It’s because I applied for tag. So yeah, you will probably get in if you apply for tag this year with that gpa. And I think uscd changed the gpa requirement for tag to 3.5 so try to maintain your gpa.</p>

<p>I did with a 3.34. No TAG. Might not be exactly your case though because I applied under the major econ jointly with math.</p>

<p>You guys are really encourage me to apply! Thanks a lot! Cuz my roommate just got in for Econ major with 3.8x GPA and I saw a lot of people in CC were rejected with TAG.</p>

<p>BUT 90% of TAGers got in. And I doubt the school’s to blame for that other 10%.</p>

<p>I applied for Economics at UCSD with no tag. Around ~3.6 GPA. Got waitlisted. I would say to be more competitive, try to get your IGETC done and maintain your GPA. Oh, and of course sign a TAG.</p>

<p>I guess not good enough, since Econ, business majors are impacted almost everywhere. Besides, I still doubt if TAG really means admission is guaranteed. Or maybe it just means priority?</p>

I am planing to apply UCSD Econ major for Fall 2012. However, I got two Cs on Pre-reqs, one math,one econ and my overall GPA is 3.38 by now. What’s my chance to get into?</p>
