<p>Rice only offers a few creative writing courses and I was wondering if someone really interested in creative writing could take them over several times for credit--because the experience changes each time you take the class, unlike other academic classes. </p>

<p>You can’t retake the same course twice for credit, although there are different creative writing courses offered each semester. Are you looking at the course catalog or the course schedule for this semester?</p>
<p>The course catalog will tell you if the course is repeatable for credit. Checking an old catalog, the Dramatic Writing class states it is repeatable for credit. There may be others now. Once you are there and in the courses you can get a better feel for it with an advisor.</p>
<p>Email the English department and ask. They will be able to tell you if the course is repeatable for credit or not.</p>
