does anybody make their own frozen dinners?

sound kinda disgusting, I know, but I kind of live off of these when there's nothing else around. just wondering, if anybody makes their own pasta or spaghetti, then freezes it and use it for later. Is this safe?

I do... but not pasta. I'll put some form of protein(chicken or bison normally) and then vegetables in a disposable tupperware type thing and then freeze them. Obviously I make different flavors and little variations but the general gist is always the same. Microwave when you're ready to eat, and viola! ... the sodium in prepackaged meals gets to me as does the endless carbs that don't even taste very good.

i keep a big box of frozen hamburgers.. then you can cook em right on a george foreman frozen.

I'm like anovice, I have some frozen raw chicken in my freezer, and some defrosted raw chicken in my fridge. I just cook it in about 15-20 mins, and move some from my freezer to my fridge. Eat and repeat

My mom makes homemade spaghetti sauce and freezes that, but she doesn't put noodles in it or anything.

Some families pick one day of the week and cook a lot of large meals and then freeze them in individaul servings. I don't know how long they'd last in freezers, but make sure you have them sealed really good. Parents might know more about how long they can safely last?

yeah, i meant more of the pre-cooked dinners and freezing them, and microwaving it when you're ready to eat it. i buy some at the store, but i think it's much cheaper if i can freeze my own spaghetti.

Spaghetti will keep fine in the fridge for a good number of days if you keep it in tupperware.

Vacuum sealers are supposed to be magnificent for people that like to freeze dinners, since they you can heat it up in boiling water instead of the microwave.

reheated spaghetti is really bad. The texture bears no resemblence to freshly cooked. Just make sauce and freeze it and boil the pasta fresh when you want it...boiling pasta only takes 10 mins.

I'm sure you can google some recipies that are save to freeze. I know i saw on a show about making homemade frozen dinners, i'll try to post it later if i can remember the name!
