Does anyone else feel that they'll do worse?

I got a 2160 the first time I took this, with a total of 11 wrong and a 9 on the essay. I have my second attempt coming up this Saturday. I berate myself everytime I get a practice question wrong, and can't seem to shake the feeling that I might actually do worse.

Does anyone feel the same way?

You always do better on the real test than practice tests. Just be relaxed and not about it. You have one more chance to take it if you absolutely need to, so there should be little pressure,

If you're berating yourself for missing questions, then your expectations are too high. Even if you expect to get a 2400, you can get 1-2 WR questions wrong and 2 CR questions wrong. You're going to get questions wrong, so you need to accept that. If you put in the time and effort on every problem you can get right so that you do get it right, you'll do better than last time, because you know more than you did then.

I'd be willing to bet that at least 5 out of those 11 questions you missed due to negligence, not a lack of knowledge. Just don't be careless, and even if you learned absolutely nothing since the last time you took it, you'll only miss half as much.

If you think you will do worse, then you will do worse. You have to have confidence in yourself and be positive.

i'm a little scared cos i know of many people who have done worse/stayed the same. I really want to do better..

nukchebio- do you really always do better on practice tests? I took some CB tests; are they harder than the real thing or around the same? I actually think the CB practice tests are easier.

I do way worse on practice tests than I do on real tests.

My PSAT practice test was a 206; I got 223.

My best SAT practice test was a 2230; I got 2350.

I think the College Board tests are comparable in difficulty to the real tests. You have to remember the difficulty varies on each SAT or each practice test.

BB tests, though, have much harsher scales than real tests. Taking the middle of the "scaled score range" gives something like "800-790-770-760" for reading, when usually it's "800-800-800-800."

OMG I'm in the same boat. I took it in Oct. Submitted it and got a 2220 (690CR tho) Then I took it again in Nov and Dec and didnt submit b/c I was afraid I did worse. Now its June and I'm taking it again :) Good luck to us!

Yeah... well. Can't help it though. Good luck everyone.
