Does anyone ever get depressed?

<p>On the bad note, apparently the class of '08 (class of '12 after college) is the biggest populated year...</p>

<p>I get depressed when looking at people's results. Even with the crazy extracurriculars and scores on CC, Ivy League seems outta reach. <em>sigh</em></p>

<p>CC kids aren't "normal." I always got depressed when I came here as an applying senior, but this site kept me realistic (that I wasn't going to be the best) and it helped me see what made me unique (showed me the ECs I did that others didn't) and I ended up focusing on those for my essay subjects.</p>

<p>Now I'm on this site to offer words of "you can do it" in pms to kids who might not have spectacular stats, but are really unique people.</p>

<p>You have to realize those who are on CC are very concerned and motivated to go to college and that the sample of kids you see on this website are generally the best kids at their respective HS'. </p>

<p>And to be honest, alot of the really specatular kids you see asking for chances do know they have legit shots at all the schools they are applying too. They only ask because they are insecure and desire reassurance from ppl telling them their stats are amazing and they have great stats. As many real chances threads there are, there are as many if not more threads that are just made by insecure kids who want to feel better about themselves and the college process.</p>

<p>It really makes a differences when you use the word "depressed" I suffer from depression and when you say depressed I take it as low, very very sad. Depression is something you feel for a short period of time, so you mean you feel sad, not depressed.</p>

<p>I know what you mean, but you might want to re-read that sentence. Add two letters and an apostrophe to the second word.</p>

<p>Yeah, I get depressed a lot. Like this afternoon, when I had a post-castle valk going and Yeenoghu just came and leg-humped me out of nowhere and killed me in one turn, after about ten hours of play. I mean, seriously. That sucks worse than eels + drawbridges! :(</p>

<p>Granted, I was playing sporkhack, whose duty is to kill you...<em>sigh</em></p>
