I notice every school wants applicants to list a 2nd and 3rd choice major.
I’m genuinely curious if people were actually admitted but only for their 2nd/3rd choices e.g. UPenn admitting an applicant with Economics as their first choice but took him in for Sociology (his second choice major) – not even sure if this ever happened
Basically it seems rather meaningless to list other prospective majors since if you’re rejected its gg?
Would really like to hear what people think about this.
