I'm applying this year to Lafayette, Bucknell, and Steven's Institute of Technology, and I need the tuition exchange scholarship to be able to attend? Has anyone had any experiences with the TE? If you or your kid received or was rejected for the scholarship, what were their stats?
There's the website
https://www.tuitionexchange.org/index.cfm

I thought the tuition exchange program was something that had to do with parents working for a university and that university being reciprocal with another university for “tuition exchange” - each school has a list of reciprocal schools.

Well, the website is right there. If you look at it, you can see its a big list of schools that exchange students of faculty.

If your parent works at a college and you are eligible for Tuition Exchange, your success depends on how desirable the college you want to attend is in comparison with the college your parent works at. There is some balance of applicants the program requires (hence “exchange”), so if your parent works at a more obscure college and you want to go to a more well-known college with more competitive admissions, it’s by no means an assured deal. However, it’s certainly worth applying.
