I’m not sure exactly what information you are looking for but acceptances came out on March 14 last year. Waitlist data sometimes is published on the Common Dataset (CDS).
This is from last year:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 9983
Number accepting a place on the waiting list: 5707
Number of wait-listed students admitted: 4097
Is your waiting list ranked? No
UCSC takes very few applicants off the waitlist so last year was an exception. It doesn’t specify if the # of Freshman vs # of Transfers.
Why was last year an exception? I see that 2014-2015 no one got off the waitlist because they accepted too many?
In the past, they probably accepted enough applicants to fill their class. Last year, they could have under estimated their yield and filled the gap with the waitlist.
Ah I understand. Since its (waitlist) not ranked, how does one get off the waitlist, as in what determines it?
Getting off the waitlist is probably based on your overall stats? Since they admit into the university first then into major, it may not be based on spots available per major? Just conjecture???
