Does Anyone Know What This Means?

I applied to Chapman a while back and unfortunately got my rejection letter a few weeks ago. I decided to e-mail a current student I know to ask about the possibility of transferring in the future, and she suggested I write a letter of appeal as a last resort. I did that, and on my WebAdvisor, it currently says "Under Appeal" as of April 10th. The thing that has me confused (and a little over excited) is that, when I click on my Program Evaluation, it takes me to a page with my name, program (BA in Theatre), says my Anticipated Completion Date is August of 2016 (which makes sense), has a Chapman.edu e-mail for me, and along with all this, there is a Program Summary with the credits/requirements I need. I was never directed to this page the first time around when I was rejected, so I'm not sure if this is a good heads up that I'm in or nothing to be paid too much attention to. I don't want to get too excited and be let down, so if anyone knows what this means/might mean, I would really appreciate your knowledge and ideas.

Thanks to anyone who can offer any thoughts!

If they provided you a Chapman email, most likely you’re in. Call the Admission Office to confirm.

AlyssaMP27, all students are awarded an e-mail address and login at the point of application in order to access WebAdvisor, so having a Chapman.edu e-mail address does not mean a prospective student has been admitted.

The Office of Admission is checking with its IT department on some of your questions. But I can let you know that the admission office does not start responding back to appeal letters until after May 1. So your “Under Appeal” status is correct. Being able to see your Program Evaluation just gives you information about the program and term you applied and are appealing for, so it’s not an indicator of being accepted or denied.

If you have other specific questions, please call the Office of Admission directly at 714-997-6711.

Thank you very much for both of your responses! My confusion simply comes from the fact that when I applied originally, from the time I sent everything in to the day I was rejected, my Program Evaluation page never gave me any information; it would come up with nothing. I also always had a WebAdvisor login, but this is the first time I am being offered an official e-mail with mail.chapman.edu at the end. Maybe the IT department will be of help- thank you for checking, AdmissionOffice!
