Does AP credit go toward major pre-requisites?

<p>I got a 5 on both of the AP Physics C exams and the AP Chemistry exam, so I can place out of PHYS 1112+2213 and CHEM 2070. This goes toward fulfilling some of the requirements for the Earth Systems major. It says that you need to take two Physics classes to declare this major. So do the two AP credits I received count toward that requirement, or do I need to specifically take two classes at Cornell?</p>
