I’m looking to apply to ASU and was just wondering if I needed to write an essay for admission.
Not sure about the University, but Barrett does.
Google is your friend
That page really doesn’t say either way. or if it does it is hard to find.
@nw2this That page clearly says admission is guaranteed if you have taken the required core classes in HS and meet just ONE of the requirements listed. Nothing more is required for guaranteed admission. And if you meet the requirement based on GPA or class rank, you do not even have to submit test scores for guaranteed admission (although test scores may be required for scholarship consideration). You can request a more holistic review if you do not meet any of the options for guaranteed admission.
However, as you mentioned, this is for admission to ASU. Barrett does require both an essay and test scores.
I thought that ASU was a “exist to get into” college. In any case, if the university webpage doesn’t say anything about that and you met the minimum criteria you’re fine.
When I applied to Arizona State University, I did not need to write a personal statement.
However, when I applied to Barrett, a personal statement was required.
Sometimes, and I may be wrong about for the school part, but for some programs that you can apply to may require a personal statement, or at some schools within ASU.
For general admission, no need for an essay.
no essay, very easy app!
