<p>Should have provided more information sorry. I am referring to transferring from a CC. So you get denied from a CC but then reapply the next year from the CC.</p>
<p>It might hurt you if you reapply with the exact same credentials and essays hoping that they would give you a different decision, because then they might think you think they are idiots. If you redo your essays and keep up good performance, I do not see why it should hurt you.</p>
<p>I presume you are applying from a California Community College to UC’s and other private schools. UC’s don’t take that many lower division transfers (low priority) so if you are now an upper division transfer, it shouldn’t hurt you and your chances are a lot better. If you did poorly in HS, having an extra year might show that you are more capable of handling rigorous courses.</p>
<p>If you’ve significantly improved your credentials, shown academic success, reapplying after being rejected likely shows commitment, something that they would like to see and that would help you get in.</p>
