Does being the child of a disabled veteran help

Both of my parents are veterans of the Unites States Air Force. My mom was a pilot then protocols officer and my dad was a pilot. Both are now retired and my mom is on disability. My dad is also filing for disability and will have his disability status before college applications are due. Will this help with college admissions and, if so, how do I report it to colleges? I looked around for scholarships and found some very specific ones that didn't apply (mostly for armed forces). Have any of you been through/heard of this situation effecting the admissions process?
Thanks

This won’t help you particularly in admissions. In some states there are scholarships and grants for children of disabled veterans. Ask your guidance counselor to help you determine whether your state offers anything like that.

Thanks, I’ll definitely do that. My mom’s dad was also a disabled veteran and she got extra aid so she thought I might as well. It was probably a state scholarship like you said.
