I know cal poly doesn’t use the English plus writing score, but i’m wondering if they use the whole act or just the english and math subscores. Because on there website it mentions that it only uses act or sat (M + Cr) in its admission process. So if they specified that the sat was just M+Cr, wouldn’t they also specify that the act was just English + Math. I have searched around and found a few topics on this, but they seem outdated and i’m not sure if I can trust them anymore. So does anyone know?

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day :)

So i’m just gonna bump this…

I am not positive but I think they only use English and math. Also, college board only shows the English and math scores.

@appleteam, I’m talking about the ACT not the SAT; Collegeboard has nothing to do with the ACT

You misunderstood me, if you go to collegeboard and type in cal poly slo, then go to applying and choose act and sat scores. If you look at the averages, it only shows composite, math, and English.

cal poly slo looks at not only act math and act english but ALSO the act composite just to make sure your other sections aren’t horrible enough for their standards

Damn they look at your composite; was kind of hoping they didn’t because my english and math scores are up there (32/36) while my reading and science scores are killing me (24/27)

I was on the same exact boat as you when I applied. My reading score was terrible!
