Does collegeboard lie? (details at...now!)

I mozied around on collegeboard’s profile on Brown today, and it says that the middle 50% of ACT scores were/are 27-31…does this technically mean someone could get in with an ACT score of 25, since the 25th percentile is lower and could obivously include a 26 or lower? This seems weird for an ivy…BUT…that’s what i got on the act, so yeah.

Well, Collegeboard doesn't lie. However, the lowest quarter of the ACT and SAT scores are usually made up of recruited athletes, legacies, minorities, and development cases, so unless you are one of those, I wouldn't be too optimistic.

To add on, a much smaller percent of applicants take the ACT too, so it is not as large of a selection as the SAT scores.

Those students are often from schools there that kind of score is astounding, or have other factors such as what peugeot mentioned, and on top of that, likely have quite impressive SATs and GPAs.

but Jeremy, don't get discouraged; you never know until you try.

hehe...idk, like i figure my other parts of the application are good. i mean, i got into tulane, which i'm assuming is very difficult to get into--BUT still brown is ivy so it's different :(
