My parents are filing their W-2, tax returns, and whatnot. The portal says the due date is tomorrow. I’m gonna try my best to upload all of this tomorrow. Will that be too late?
I know that some schools are more lenient on their due dates. What about Cornell?
as long as you submit/upload all the required docs before midnight EST 2/15, you are considered meeting the deadline; it takes 2-3 days (even longer at this time) for IDOC to process the docs and make them available to the colleges.
If you need extra time, you should call the FA office. Some families, such as mine, own businesses, and it is sometimes difficult to get the business return done by 2/15 so the IDOC package can be completed. In our case, our business return is not completed yet, and since we are an S corp (with pass through) our personal return is not yet done either. The best we can do is estimate, so I called FA and they extended it.
