Does country matter for hispanics?

Hello, I am a first generation ecuadorian and i was wondering if hispanics from Mexico and Peurto Rico have a better hook?

Do you mean first generation to attend college or first generation in the US? First generation to attend college can be a tip factor at some colleges, first gen in the US is not a factor in college admissions.

MA and PR are the Hispanic groups that are underrepresented in US colleges, so they are generally believed to be the most sought after backgrounds. There are other factors outside of country of origin that are considered within the Hispanic cohort, and how you will be viewed is also dependent on the college you’re applying to and the rest of your application.
