<p>So I saw that the acceptance rate for ed was generally higher, but the application pool seemed TINY and it's also flooded with tons of legacies, athletes, and people who are confident and more competitive in their grades. Can I get a little insight if ED really does help your chances? </p>
<p>It seems you have a good bit of insight regarding ED. It is difficult to determine how much ED will help because the ED process attracts the best students, legacies, athletes, etc… Having a child who has just gone through this process my best guess is it does sway the odds in your favor over RD but not at the cost of being locked. If you are at all uncertain about the school keep away from ED.</p>
