I want to go to Brown or Columbia (preferably Brown), but my SAT is only 1350 CR+W and 2040 in total (750 CR, 690 W, 600 M). I was looking at the 2016 admission trend and there were people with 2390s and amazing ECs getting denied! Do I even have a chance?

I work in an art studio, I've held several leadership positions, I'm in several civil rights/aiding the homeless organizations, I play several instruments, and I'm a vegetarian.

Probably not. But you should give it a shot. People with your scores do get accepted. It’s just that they tend to be generally awesome or desired in other domains. You have to find a way to stick out somehow.

You definitely have a shot. The application is about the essays, reccomendations, and whether they just like you more than anything else. They reject a lot of those super kids because even though they have impressive accolades, they are dull. You fit the applicant pool, and have a good a shot as anyone else :)
