Does FSU use Senior year grades?

I'm taking about 4-5 more core classes which 3 of them are AP classes.

I was wondering if they consider senior year classes when recalculating a students GPA?

I am probably going to be getting A's/B's in those AP classes so it would benefit me if FSU does in-fact consider senior year grades.

I know they don't wait till Senior year final grades but what about for the first 2 quarters of the semester?

Thanks

The deadline is usually in October if I remember correctly. If your school closes your first term (2 semesters) by the time you send in your transcripts then yes they will count your newest grades. A lot of times though they won’t count senior grades because they won’t be up yet, so they wait until the very end of the year after high school graduation.

Thanks for the reply, the first quarter of senior year ends on October 24th. So does that mean they will be able to count the first quarter grades? Or…

It depends on the school district and state your in. I think the 24th would be to far so I don’t think it would show. You’ll be able to see it on your transcript if you ask for one from the office in your school

The only time FSU looks at senior year grades (for the December decision date) is when they 1) defer you and are waiting on your first semester grades to decide whether to ultimately accept you or not, or 2) at the end of the year to make sure that you didn’t goof off after getting accepted and to verify that you kept your grades up.

If you apply for the March decision date, they may (or may not) get your first semester grades. However, you’re better off applying under the first decision date.
