Just wondering, because they should..thanks!

I'm hoping they don't count 2nd semester grades, because I've been slacking a bit. I still have A's, but the change is quite noticeable.

Hope someone answers this. :)

I know you have to send in a final transcript of your senior year if you're accepted. I'm not sure how much weight it holds though. I suspect you'd have to seriously screw up for them to retract your acceptance. I think they know that seniors tend to relax during their last semester in high school.

I e-mailed a copy of my first sem grades hoping it will help my chances. They responded:

Thank you for your interest in Georgia Tech. We appreciate the fact that you would like to strengthen your application with an update of your fall semester grades. However, it is our policy to use the information provided in your self-reported transcript to make our admissions decision. Please do not send in your mid-year transcripts or reports. Due to the large quantity of applicants, it is necessary to keep our admissions process as simple as possible.

Our admissions department will request an official final transcript at the end of the academic year if you have been accepted to the institute.

Thank you for your interest in Georgia Tech.

They definately look at senior grades. Don't slide too much (i.e. get straight Ds and Fs) because they will rescind your acceptance.

they are only important if you dropped a lot. They will deny you if thats the case

Replying to a thread with the last reply in 2007… I guess, we found the winner

Well, now I’m curious. If you apply EA and get deferred, does GT demand/want your final first semester of senior year grades when you get put in the Regular Action pool?

Yes, in case you will get deferred to Regular admission, they will want your first semester grades
