Tried searching for this but only got info about rescinding admission. If I submitted my grades for regular decision after I got my first semester senior year grades will they be considered for admission? I'm also wondering if you are deferred would you redo your application with those new grades.

Hey, Vorter, we are trying to find out exactly the same thing! Thinking that senior year grades will be the best because of preparation over the summer, and that they will really help to raise the GPA. But, guidance counselor said they only send transcript through junior year grades. Senior semester grades go out when available as a supplement. In other words, the official transcript only shows completed courses. An admission officer from a top state university said that they start their review with senior year grades and rigor of classes, so it’s confusing. Hopefully someone will weigh in who has experience with this.

If you get deferred, they ask for your senior year 1st semester grades. If I recall correctly, those who applied EA and RD this year could not submit their senior year grades (because it was too early). However, if you apply RD I would try calling them to see if they would consider your senior year grades or not.
