Right now I am a high school sophmore, this year I was half a credit short from being able to qualify as a junior. I am looking at graduating a year early from high school. Here are the amount of credits in each area I will have by the end of the year next year: 4 math, 5 Social Studies, 4.5 Science, 5 English, 3 Spanish, 1 computers, 4 Band. I have mantained a 3.96 and have taken many honors and AP classes. My ECs include Tennis, Colorguard, Model UN, FIRST Robotics, Symphony Band, and Symphony Orchestra. I have set my goals high, I am trying to get into Ivy League schools, Columbia or maybe Princeton. Also I am looking at Georgetown, Notre Dame, and Grove City College. Do you think my chances are good at these schools?

I faced this. I think you would have a better chance at ivies if you took a 4th year and really focused on ECs, maybe an internship/job in you area of interest and getting as many AP classes, leadership position and so forth to put you that much ahead. o advantage to graduating early, but every advantage to making your record unbeatable. It worked for me.

See, my Dad has to move for his job after next schol year, and that would mean having to move for my senior year. Also, high school is not giving me the challenge I need, I have always been ahead in my classes. Both my brothers were in the same situation as me and they decided to stay and it wasn't worth it because they had to take so many courses at the local college anyways. And I am going to get involved with the school plays and musicals, but anything beyond that I dont have time for because FIRST robotics takes up a lot of time because it is pretty much a year round thing.
