Some people I talk to say it does and some say it doesn't. So...?

Also, is it in a safe area? (I know it's 4 blocks from the White House, but you know...)

Also, is housing at the school (or campus if there is one) or is it seperate?

Thanks

GW doesn't have a campus by traditional standards. We are totally integrated with the city, but also have a very unique, distinct "GW feel." I'd like to believe that we have the best of city and campus. I would highly suggest taking a tour and decide for yourself if you like our campus. It's definitely not for everybody, but for those who go to GW it's one of the more favored aspects.

Both the Foggy Bottom and the Foxhall (Mt. Vernon Campus) are very safe neighborhoods. They are primary residential areas. Foggy Bottom as the lowest crime rate of all the city. Because we're so close to the White House and State Department, you'll see Secret Service, Diplomatic Security, FBI, National Parks Service and the Metropolitan Police Department on campus along with our own University Police.

There is housing available on-campus. Living on-campus (within GW owned residence halls) is required for freshmen and sophomores.

I would highly highly suggest coming to campus and taking a tour to really find out what GW is all about.

Thanks.
I'm definately taking a tour this summer as GWU will be my ED school.

Thanks so much.

don't decide that any school, GWU or otherwise, will be your ED school until you actually visit for a day or weekend.

I visited the campus today, I was a bit nervous at first because I didnt think that i would like such an urban setting. However, after my visit today i fell in love with the campus, the city, and all of the opportunities that being in DC create. The school is like 90 years old but the facilities, buildings, and interior of the buildings were all in fresh repair and looked brand new and in great shape! In fact, I thought that GW was in better shape than any of the campuses that I have visited. I certainly think it would be hard for anyone to visit the campus and not love it! Plus, if you really dont like the urban campus at Foggy Bottom, GW also has a nice, more traditional campus at Mt. Vernon.
