Does having units from different colleges complicate the TAG/Application process?

For example all of my English classes were done at one college and all my Math classes were done at another college in a different district.

Will this be a problem when I'm applying to UCLA or tagging to UCSB this Fall? I was planning to transfer all my units to my current college for a while now but I haven't really gotten to it.

nope, just don’t forget the transcript due July 15 next year :)

FYI, I have taken courses at 3 different colleges, and I am planning to take 2 more online courses at 2 different colleges. That makes 5 total :D

If you want to be IGETC-certified, then first you have to send transcripts from other schools to your “main” colleges first, before sending them to the UCs

I don’t think it matters.

I think it only gets complex when you are from another 4 year since there isn’t an assist.org type of thing for them.

Nope; took classes at 3 different colleges and it was easy to put them all onto the TAG + regular apps. Just pay attention when you’re inputting info since it’s easy to make a silly error.

The only time you’d really need to “transfer” classes over is for IGETC. I brought it to the college I was currently at and they put it all together and sent in my certification.

A lot of people go to multiple schools (especially between sister schools - like De Anza + Foothill) so it’s pretty easy. :)

thanks guys. You only need to do the “official” IGETC certification AFTER you get accepted, right? You don’t have to get it done when you’re applying?

Yup you’re right. As soon as you got your grades and submit your SIR, have your IGETC ready and send it to the UC ASAP

Lol, 10 more months until that day

^correct. Just make sure that the school that is doing your IGETC certification has your all of your transcripts.
