It's been over ten years since I was in high school. My GPA was pretty low then, but, since returning to college full-time in '07 my GPA is 3.92.

Will my high school performance weigh as heavily in admissions decisions?

Will my old SAT score matter (1400 on 1600 scale)?

Also, I need to get a report from my guidance counselor at my old high school. What if I know he retired the year and I left? Will someone just write a report based on my transcript - it won't do me any favors - and if so will they mention that they never knew me personally?

LOVE,

They won't pay attention to HS grades as much because the more time you spend away from HS, the less those grades matter. For example, Penn LPS says that if a continuing education student has had no formal schooling ( which I realize is not your case), they will not base the app on HS grades but more on work experience and recommendations.
Good college GPA! I think you should be fine because I don't see why they would look at your HS stats.
Good luck!

ten years after the fact i dont see your hs gpa or sat's being much of a factor in admissions, if they are a factor at all...

Generally speaking, if you have two full years worth of college coursework under your belt the transfer-to colleges won't ask for HS transcripts or ACT/SAT scores. This kind of stuff should be on their websites and if it isn't, call the transfer admissions officer, explain your situation, and find out how to proceed.

Good luck!
