Does how many times you take the SAT count?

Do admissions officers consider how many times one takes the SAT?

Like for example, would they take someone who got a 2100 in one try over someone who got a 2200 in two/three tries?

Or would they disregard attempts and just take the highest scores and compare?

yea, if u take it a lot of times, colleges will think u have nothing better to do than to study for SAT. not good.

I wouldn't take it more than 3 times.

Three seems to be the standard....

A Stanford adcom said at an info session:
Once is great, twice is fine, and three times is okay. After that, we start to wonder why you didn't list it as an EC.
